Nepal's participation in Guangzhou International Travel Fair
KATHMANDU, May 19:The Nepal Tourism Board received the 'Most Popular Cultural Tourism Destination Award 2024' at the Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF 2024) in Guangzhou, China.
The Pata Nepal Chapter, as well as seven travel companies and hotels, are participating in the Guangzhou International Travel Fair, which began on May 16 and is leadership by the NTB.
This is Nepal's first participation in GITF since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Saroj Bhattarai, the Acting Consul General of Nepal in Guangzhou, attended the inauguration ceremony. At the event, NTB officer Kundan Sharma discussed Nepal's tourist potential.
The NTB anticipates that Nepal's participation in the Guangzhou International Travel Fair will give additional support for tourism development, as China is Nepal's primary tourist resource market.
Pata Nepal Chapter got the 'Overall Performance Award' from the China Outbound Tourism Research Institute (COTRI) and the 'Best Partner Award' from the Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) at the fair, which took place from May 16th to May 18th.
Jugal Holidays from Nepal got the 'Gold Award for Product Innovation' at the expo, according to Pradeep Gaire, an NTB representative who attended the event. Nepal had previously attended the 31st Arabian Travel Market (ATM-2024) at the Center.
