Govt aims to constructed waterways transportation in Sunkoshi and Narayani rivers

KATHMANDU, May 15:The government has announced that it would begin waterways transportation.

President Ramchandra Poudel made the announcement while presenting the government's policies and programs to a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Tuesday.

He announced the operation of waterways transport with terminals on the Sunkoshi and Narayani rivers.

He announced the preparation for waterways transportation by choosing two major rivers. He announced the implementation of digital technologies to provide universal and accessible public transportation.
