Machhapuchhre Bank hands over Rs.1 million under accident insurance to deceased's family

KATHMANDU:Machhapuchhre Bank has paid an accident insurance claim of one million rupees to the family of a customer who died in an accident under  the New Smart Salary Account.

According to a claim made by his wife Shobha Yadav following the death of Lalbabu Prasad Yadav, a customer with an account at the bank's Aadarshnagar Birganj branch, in a motorcycle accident, the insurance payment was transferred to Mrs. Yadav on the 30th of Baisakh.

Dilliram Giri, the bank's Chief Business Officer, Madhesh Pradesh Head Indu Shekhar Devkota, and Adarshnagar Branch Head Shusil Thapalia presented the death claim check to Shobha Yadav, the deceased's wife.

Under the New Smart Salary account, the bank provides accident insurance up to 1 million, treatment insurance for specific complex diseases up to 3 lakh, and hospitalization and drug treatment insurance up to 100,000.
