Even though the entire Chitwan region, including the tourist town of Sauraha, has been brought to the attention of state agencies several times for the declaration of a tourism zone, only assurances have been received, and no action has been taken in this regard, so the relevant ministry has been asked to take the necessary initiatives and coordinate the declaration of the tourism zone through the relevant ministry.

To create an environment in which local and foreign tourists who have visited Sauraha and Chitwan will be completely safe and return, the Home Minister has been asked to provide night air flights for all Chitwan residents, as well as tourism promotion..

Sauraha is host to 150 hotels, more over 100 restaurants, 60 elephant entrepreneurs, and approximately 480 guides, as well as 4500 direct employees and over 150 small tourism business owners.
