Tourism entrepreneurs urges make tourism action plan focuses on Chitwan's tourism
CHITWAN, May 12:Sauraha's tourism entrepreneurs have urged to the local government that a tourism action plan be developed that focuses on Chitwan tourism as a whole. Ratnanagar should not be limited to a single municipality during the interaction program organized by the Ratnanagar Tourism Development Coordination Committee, which was formed by the Ratnanagar municipality on Wednesday.
Ramkumar Aryal, a businessman from Sauraha, believes that Ratnanagar, the country's third most popular tourist destination, should not limit its tourism development program to the municipality. He stated that Ratnanagar's tourism action plan should center on Sauraha and include the entire district.
Ganga Giri, President of the Regional Hotel Association Sauraha, stated that in addition to the promotional program for Sauraha's development, the group is developing a tourist action plan.
Suman Ghimire, a central member of the Hotel Association Nepal and former president of Regional Hotel Association Sauraha, stated that tourist development in Chitwan should be prioritized while continuing the 'Ghumau Sauraha' program, which began three years ago. He advocated for the use of digital marketing to promote tourism in Sauraha.
BChairman of the committee, Bhesh Raj Duwadi, said that he would put Sauraha as a center make an action plan for Chitwan's tourism development. He said that Sauraha will be declared as a tourism zone, and the issue of building a master plan and operating an information center will be taken forward. He stated that he will prioritize the construction of a padayatra connecting Madi and Sauraha.
Acting Mayor Yadav Prasad Pathak stated at the ceremony that the local government's effort for tourism development need substantial cooperation from businessmen.
PThe participants in the program stressed that the false propaganda about Sauraha should be stopped. When asked if Sauraha is pricey, the businesses said that it is not when compared to other tourist destinations. They believe that cooperation between the local government and businessmen in Sauraha will help to overcome the problems of noise pollution, disorderly parking, and park ticket periods.
There are 160 hotels and 90 restaurants in Sauraha, which depends on safari tourism. The program was attended by Sauraha's businessmen, community foresters and industrialists.
