NFPJ Nepal interacted with a Chinese travel photographer

KATHMANDU, May 12:The National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ Nepal) has interacted with 13 photographers, including renowned Chinese travel photographer Xu Chui. The program was held on Friday at Gokarna House Jhamsikhel in partnership with the Nepal China Friendship Forum (NCFF).

Sagar Shrestha, treasurer of the NFPJ Nepal, said he was delighted to meet the Chinese photographers at the event, which was presided over by Sushil Shrestha, senior vice president of the organization. On the occasion of the event, he also offered to collaborate with photographers such as Xu Chui. "We believe that in the coming days NFPJ Nepal will also be given an opportunity to understand the art, culture and civilization of China closely," Shrestha stated.

Similarly, Xu Chui, a well-known Chinese travel photographer, related his experience, stating that he first visited Nepal in 2008 and has since returned over 30 times. He stated, 'I wanted to travel throughout the world and capture photographs. When I first visited Nepal, it felt like the entire globe, and I want to return 40-50 times. Nepal is not a large country, yet the richness of art culture and Nepalese behavior appeals to us. For the remainder of my life, I hope to be able to photograph inside Nepal's religious and tourism sites. He also stated that he has a strong desire to introduce the beauty of Nepal to the globe, alongside China.

Ghanshyam Shrestha, Acting General Secretary of the NFPJ Nepal, stated that the interaction program was quite beneficial. He expressed his view that such meeting programs will assist to enhance the relationship between Nepalese and Chinese photographers, and that cooperation between the two nations will create opportunities to strengthen the relationship in the future.

He stated, "I believe that if the best 100 photos of Nepal taken by photographer Xu Chui and the best photos taken by Nepalese photojournalists are displayed in a city in China, it will help to promote tourism in Nepal." I also believe that in the approaching days, we will have the ability to closely investigate Chinese art, culture, and civilization.

Dr. Kalyan Sharma, President of the Nepal–China Friendship Forum (NCFF), facilitated the language. During the ceremony, Chinese photographers were recognized with food and Nepali hats, and books were shared as a symbol of love between the two countries.

Central member and head of international affairs Sunil Sharma, President of Nepal China Friendship Forum (NCFF) Dr. Kalyan Sharma, Gokarna House Jhamsikhel, members of the organization Ramesh Shakya, Archana Shrestha etc. had important support to make the program successful. Members of NFPJ Nepal including former president Raj Bhai Suwal participated in the program.
