Eduroam service operation at Tribhuvan Airport
KATHMANDU, May 12:Eduroam service has officially begun at Tribhuvan International Airport. The service began in the international terminal a week ago and the service has also started at the at the domestic terminal beginning Wednesday.
This service enables universities, scientific research institutions, and students to create Internet connection using their educational institution's username and password when they transfer from one institution to another.
Eduroam service is currently available in over 110 countries around the world. There are millions of eduroam hotspots functioning worldwide.
Hotspots for such services are being expanded at libraries, museums, public areas, train stations, airports, and coffee shops. This service is entirely free and available anywhere in the world.
Eduroam services can be accessible simultaneously from over 60 access points located throughout Tribhuvan International Airport and the domestic terminal.
It runs with global roaming access and offers secure connections via RADIUS servers as a service.
