Korala border should be completely operation: FNCCI President Dhakal
BAGLUNG:Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), stated that the Korala border crossing of Mustang between Nepal and China should be completely functioning for the economic and social development of Gandaki region.
Dhakal, speaking at the Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry's 60th annual general meeting, stated that the Korala border must be operational on a regular basis in order to promote international trade and tourism.
He brought the government's attention to the Korala border crossing's regular import and export operations in order to smooth trade relations between the two countries.
Dhakal stated that the FNCCI is prepared to take the necessary steps for export within and outside the country while retaining the quality of goods and services produced by Baglung and Dhaulagiri area manufacturers and business owners.
"Small and medium businessmen will have to cooperate together for the marketing and export of potatoes, corn, and bamboo products in Baglung," Dhakal added. "You should produce them together. There's an industry and commerce association here to promote it." The FNCCI Centre will also facilitate and coordinate.
Dhakal stated that the government has failed to establish an investment-friendly atmosphere for the private sector. He claimed that despite numerous businessmen's attempts to invest here, a suitable environment could not be established.
