Citizens Bank provided 20 sewing machines to Fatima Foundation

KATHMANDU:Citizens Bank International has provided sewing machines to support the Fatima Foundation Nepal. The foundation has advocated for the rights of Muslims, Madhesis, and other underprivileged women and children.

Ganeshraj Pokharel, the bank's CEO, gave away sewing machines to the organization's officials as a gesture of solidarity.

As part of its corporate social responsibility to promote self-employment, the bank distributed 20 sewing machines to women from poor backgrounds who are linked with the foundation.

The Bank believes that this will provide women from underprivileged communities with employment options, income, and the ability to modify their lifestyle. Fatima Foundation is a women-led social organization based in Banke.
