Songkran celebrations: Thai Food Festival at Radisson Hotel Kathmandu
KATHMANDU, April 26:The Radisson Hotel Kathmandu kicked off a celebration of Thai culture and cuisine today with the launch of their Thai Food Festival, a collaborative effort with the Royal Thai Embassy. The festival coincides with Maha Songkran, the vibrant Thai New Year festivities.
Running from April 25th to May 3rd, 2024, the festival offers a nine-day showcase of Thailand's finest flavors. Master Chef Yao from Thailand has been brought in to create a menu of delectable dishes available at the hotel's newly inaugurated "The Fun Cafe (TFC)." Guests can enjoy the dinner every day from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM for only Rs. 3,200.
The festival was inaugurated by H.E., the Thai Ambassador to Nepal, Mr. Suwapong Sirisorn. Mr. Subrata Banerjee, the general manager of the Radisson Hotel Kathmandu, introduced him and presided over the event, representing Radisson. "We are thrilled to start our culinary calendar with this inaugural food festival," shared Mr. Banerjee. "Collaborating with the Royal Thai Embassy has been a privilege, and we are delighted to present an event that celebrates the rich heritage and flavors of Thailand. We look forward to further collaborations and creating more memorable experiences together in the future."
Throughout the festival, guests can savor a variety of traditional Thai delicacies in a vibrant Songkran ambience at The Fun Cafe. The hotel staff will be attired in traditional Thai clothing, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.
The festival menu boasts an array of tempting dishes, including Pork with Sweet and Sour Sauce, Thai Green Curry with Chicken, Fish in Ginger Sauce, Pad Thai with Eggs, Salad Roll with Crab, Vegetable Fried Rice, Satay Fried Chicken, and many other delectable dishes.
