Balaju Baisdhara Mela (Photo Feature)
Hindu and Buddhist devotees flocked to Balaju Park in Kathmandu Metropolitan City on Tuesday to participate in the yearly ritual shower at Baisdhara.
The festival, also known as the "Balaju Baisdhara Mela," (22 water spouts festival) is held on the full moon day of the Nepalese month of Chaitra.
Since early this morning, a multitude of devotees has been gathering at Baisdhara to take water and bathe. It is often believed that bathing in Baisdhara water will prevent skin disorders.
On this day, a fair takes place at Jamacho danda in Nagarjuna.
