Yak Tourism Festival in Panchthar (Photo Feature)

The 7th Phalelung Yak (Chauri) Tourism Festival 2081 was completed at Charrate-4 of Phalelung Rural Municipality of Panchthar district, which is located at an altitude of 3450 meters above sea level. 

It is a beautiful hilly terrain full of natural scenic views. Which is connected with the border of India.  you can see sunrise and sunset along with Kanchenjunga and Kumbhakarna Himalaya range. The 7th Phalelung Yak (Chauri) Tourism Festival 2081 was completed in collaboration with Phalelung Rural Municipality under the auspices of the Nepal Journalist Association with the aim of promoting internal tourism and external tourism. 

Food shops were run for locally produced Yak dairy products as well as snacks. A cultural concert was also organized. There was a large presence of tourists from internal  as well as from India and Sikkim to witness the Yak (Chauri) Tourism Festival. Tourists were enjoying themselves by observing the Yak, taking pictures and eating at the food stalls. Due to the promotion of communication media and social networks, internal tourism and external tourism are increasing every year. 

The Yak tourism festival has also increased the attraction of Yak farming among the farmers.
