Second Jiri festival began to promote tourism
DOLAKHA, April 07:The 'Second Jiri Festival 2080' began at Jiri in Dolakha.
The festival, which is organized by the Jiri Industry and Commerce Association, began on Friday and will continue until Baisakh 2.
Jiri's original local culture, products, grains, kiwi, fish, chauri, cheese, and churpi will be showcased at the event.
According to the association, the festival was created to promote Dolakha's local products through an exhibition, as well as Jiri's attractive natural tourist destinations on a national and international scale.
Jiri is also known as Nepal's Switzerland and the gateway to Mount Everest. Jiri is 188 kilometers from Kathmandu and 56 kilometers from the headquarters, Charikot.
Jiri a Various of tourist destinations, including Jireshwari Temple, Haleshwari Temple, Dhungeshwari Temple, Jiri Bazar, Bolinagi, Hanumante Hill, Siki Village, Lavati Karna, Khawa Hill, Stone Park, Buddha Park, Rambole Devi, Cherdung Hill, Cherdung Cheese Production Center, Chenchae Hill, Kalobhir, Tea Garden, and five ponds (Jatta ponds).
Various governmental and non-governmental groups are implementing promotion and development plans to transform Jiri into a lovely tourist destination. This year, a week-long festival will be held to celebrate New Year 2081.
