Govt collects Rs 100 million revenue from mountain climbing
KATHMANDU, April 04:The government has collected more than 100 million of revenue from climbers during the mountain climbing season of the current fiscal year.
According to the Department of Tourism, 105.591 million rupees were collected in the last month.
Revenue of $7,93,850 has been collected in US dollars.
148 persons, 106 men and 42 women, have been granted permission to climb nine summits this season.
According to the department, they are members of 17 different teams. According to this, there are 23 climbers in Amadablam, 5 climbers in Mt Himlung, 3 climbers in Mt Jugal I, 25 climbers in Annapurna I, 63 climbers in Mt Everest, 7 climbers in Putha Hiun Chuli, 2 climbers in Khangri Shar, 7 climbers in Kanchenjunga, and 15 climbers in Mt Dhaulagiri.
That amount of revenue has been collected from them.
