39 flute players trained in Chittapol Simaltar Bansuri Baja Khala

KATHMANDU, March 20:39 members from the Simaltar Bansuri Baja khala, who live in Suryabinayak Municipality's Ward No. 10 Chittapol, have received flute training. The Bansuri Baja khala trained 39 locals to preserve their art and culture in the local Newar community.

Beginning with Bhadra month, the Bansuri Baja khala trained local people aged 11 to 53. Similarly, the Bansuri Baja khala stated that the instruction was intended to modernize art, culture, and traditions. Motiram Khatakhole, a member of the khala, confirmed that the khala will also train the youth in the following days.

During a program, Basudev Thapa, the head of Suryabinayak municipality, Shivaram Raut, ward chairman of Suryabinayak municipality ward number 10, and others introduced the flute and harmonium players while giving certificates to the trained musicians.

Basudev Thapa, the head of Suryavinayak Municipality, stated during the ceremony that if we forget about our art culture, we will cease to exist, and that we are willing to take all actions to promote and expand art culture.

In a similar event, Shivram Raut, Ward Chairman of Suryavinayak Municipality's Ward No. 10, stated that the ward's purpose of protecting and enriching art, culture, history, and traditions should be financially supported.

Coach Dharma Munikar congratulated the learners and informed them that this was his 120th training. He stated that he has been providing flute training in several locations across the country. He informed me that he has been teaching flute playing since 2057, followed by Khin Dhime, Bai Khin, and Kochakhin. Certificates were distributed to the learners during the program, and Dharma Munikar, the trainer, received certificates of gratitude.
