BB Airways get permission to bring in the aircraft

KATHMANDU, March 20:Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Former President Bhawan Bhatt's BB Airways has been granted permission to bring in three planes. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has granted permission to bring the plane.

The company had written to the CAAN requesting an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) to operate commercial flights with five planes. The company has got a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Any organization must go through a five-step process to obtain an AOC.

Gyanendra Bhul, Co-Spokesperson of the CAAN, confirmed that BB Airways, which has completed the third stage process and got the NOC, has been granted permission to purchase at least three aircraft within a year.

The company will now get AOC for inspection and testing in the fourth step, followed by AOC for commercial flights in the fifth phase. "Now, after the company buys the plane, the CAAN's technical staff determines if the plane is in good shape or not. "The team receives the AOC after ensuring that everything is in order," said Bhul.
