Tokha's Chaku (Photo Feature)

With Maghe Sankranti right around the corner, the industrialists of Tokha, the northern region of Kathmandu, hone in on their chaku making skills. Chaku  industries operating in Tokha Municipality have dedicated themselves to making chaku this year as well. Chaku, which is a delicacy made of jaggery, sugarcane juice, ghee and nuts, is produced in Tokha and is being sold in Ason, Indrachowk, Bhaktapur, Patan, Kirtipur and outside the valley in Narayanghat, Pokhara, Butwal, Biratnagar and other cities in the Kathmandu Valley, as well.
