NTC 's NT Fiber Service in Rukumkot

KATHMANDU:Nepal Telecom is planning to deploy NT fiber service in Rukumkot, the Rukum East headquarters, using FTTH (Fiber to the Home) technology.

The trial service began on Sunday at that location. After the final technical test, Telecom claims the service will be available to users soon.

In Rukumkot, a network with 1024 line capacity has been prepared using two FDCs (Fiber Distribution Cabinets). Rukumkot now has access to high-speed data, telephony, and IPTV services via the NT Fiber service.

According to Telecom, around 200 clients in Rukumkot will be converted to FTTH technology, and more customers will receive great service.

With this, the number of districts with NT fiber available via FTTH technology has increased to 74.
