Prakash Baral appointed as Chairman of Jyoti Capital

KATHMANDU:Prakash Baral has been appointed Chairman of Jyoti Capital Limited. The company's board of directors appointed Baral, the deputy chief executive officer of the bank who has been nominated as a director from Jyoti Bikas Bank, as chairman of the capital on December 18th.

Baral, who has more than 14 years of experience in banking top management, has been elected chairman of Capital's board of directors, effective December 18, 2023.

Baral has held senior managerial positions in India's Bidio International, Nepal Bank Limited, Prabhu Bank Limited, and NIC Asia Bank Limited. Apart from that, Baral, who has served as director of the NIC Asia microfinance financial institution, has worked successfully in a number of other organizations.

Baral has a chartered accountant degree from the ICAI of India, as well as an LLB and a Master of Economics from Tribhuvan University. This Capital is confident that the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, Baral, will make a significant contribution to the expansion of this Capital's business and to making the Capital's services the best in the future, owing to his long experience in this field and efficient managerial ability.

The paid-up capital of this capital, which is a subsidiary of Jyoti Bikas Bank, is 21 crores. This capital is providing investment management services, institutional consultancy, and securities underwriting services by acquiring authority to work as a merchant banker in the Nepal Securities Ward, with the intention to be a companion to the prosperity of every customer.
