Machhapuchhre Bank, Neps, and Citytech agreement to operate Unified Merchant Management Systems (MMS)

KATHMANDU:Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL), Nepal Electronic Payment Systems Limited (Neps), and Citytech have entered into a tripartite agreement for the operate the "Unified Merchant Management Systems (MMS)" known as Get Pay.

Mr. Sanjib Subba, Chief Executive Officer of Neps, Mr. Sajan Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Citytech, and Mr. Prashidha Raj Aryal, Deputy General Manager of Machhapuchhre Bank, signed the agreement.

After the Get Pay MMS, created in partnership with Neps and Citytech, becomes operational, banks and merchants will be able to manage the many payment devices and networks that are currently distributed.

The partnership will enable merchants to do so using a single platform, streamlining the process of registering and administering their current payment instruments and networks independently.

Furthermore, the release states that it will be simple for banks and traders to receive and provide services through a single system by including all current payment tools and networks.

The stakeholders involved have stated their intention to accelerate the deployment of Get Pay MMS, ushering in a new era of efficiency and innovation in Nepal's payment ecosystem. This system's integration is expected to improve the overall payment experience for retailers and consumers alike.
