LUMBINI, Dec 09:Sudan Kiranti, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has asked India to reconsider the air route of Gautam Buddha Airport.

Addressing the India-Nepal cultural festival organized by the Indian Embassy in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, Minister Kiranti stated that India  not been positive of the Gautam Buddha International Airport air route for a long time and requested that it be reconsidered. "Regarding the air route that plays an important role in Nepal's prosperity, I request again on behalf of the Nepalese people through His Excellency the ambassador, we hope that it should be reconsidered and reach the relevant authorities," said Minister Kiranti, who also participated in the event, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Navin Srivastava.

Minister Kiranti also stated that Nepal aspires to be a strong link between two large neighboring countries, India and China.

He mentioned that Nepal's relationship with India has been connected since the time of Ram and Sita, he said that Nepal and India have been culturally connected since history. This country belongs to Gautabuddha and Everest, this country also belongs to Sita and Bhrikuti. Our Bhrikuti went to China, Sita went to neighboring India, so our relationship is not today, but from history," said Minister Kiranti.

The pilgrimage of Nepalis is incomplete without reaching India's Kashi and Pashupatinath and Muktinath are incomplete if Indians do not come, Minister Kiranti said.

Minister Kiranti also emphasized the importance of the Indian government assisting in the prevention of an environmental crisis in the Himalayan region, as climate change has become a global challenge.
