CAAN forms five member committee to call for bids for TIA ground handling

KATHMANDU, Dec 06:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has formed a five member committee to call for bids for Tribhuvan International  Airport ground handling.

The CAAN stated that a committee has been formed to prepare the bids documents, led by director Sunil Kumar Kushwaha.

A five-member committee led by Director Sunil Kumar Kushwaha has been formed to prepare tender documents in order to select the service provider organization to provide ground handling services at Tribhuvan International Airport through competition.

The CAAN announced on Friday that it would take over the ground handling service from Nepal Airlines Corporation and provide it through open competition. The NAC earns between 3 and 4 billion rupees per year. According to the financial statement, the corporation's profit is approximately one billion rupees.
