Zonta Club Kathmandu organizes awareness program on Violence Against women

KATHMANDU:As part of the 16-day campaign against sexual harassment, the Zonta Club Kathmandu organized an awareness program against women's violence on Sunday.

According to statement, the program was held in collaboration with the Armed Police Force's Women's Wing and Ncell. AIG Dr. Chandra Prakash Gautam was the chief guest in the event, which was attended by women from Kathmandu, women members of Armed Police Force and members of Zonta Club. The program discussed various problems faced by women, legal provisions pertaining to women in Nepal, and cyber and information security.

Four different videos about child marriage, domestic violence, workplace abuse, and sexual abuse in the transportation sector were screened in 31 Kathmandu cinema halls as part of the 16-day campaign, according to the organization. According to reports, various colleges have presented awareness materials via social media in collaboration with the organization.
