National Life to provide 2.5 million to KICH each year
KATHMANDU:The National Life Insurance Company and the Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KICH) reached an agreement.
National Life will contribute financially to the non-profit children's hospital construction project with a capacity of 200 beds that is currently under construction in Budhanilkantha Municipality Ward No. 7.
For three years, the company would provide financial help at a rate of Rs 2.5 million per year. The agreement was signed on behalf of the company by Executive Chief Suresh Prasad Khatri and Founder President of the KICH Prof. Dr. Bhagwan Koirala.
Khatri also handed over a check for Rs 2.5 million as the first installment after the agreement.
According to Koirala, the project is going to be implemented to provide easy and accessible access to the health of all children in Nepal and there is a plan to gradually provide child health services in other parts of the country.
