Request to get information before visiting Sikles and Ghandruk

KATHMANDU, Nov 21:The number of tourists visiting Kaski's tourist villages of Ghandruk and Sikles has risen significantly. As a result, the locals are unable to manage the visitors that have arrived in Ghandruk and Sikles.

Tourists visiting Pokhara these days do not want to be limited to the lakeside. They prefer the nearby villages and thumkas. As a result, a big number of tourists have arrived in the tourist settlements of Kaski.

According to Bikram Gurung, Chairman of the Ghandruk Tourist Management Committee, around 2,000 tourists have visited Ghandruk in Wards 10 and 11 of Kaski's Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality. According to him, some 2,000 tourists arrived on Saturday as well.

"Ghandruk was packed with tourists," President Gurung observed.During the tourism season, he advised everyone to come here only with the essential information on accommodations, weather conditions, and so forth.

Even if there is no accommodation for the visitors, President Gurung stated that it has been arranged. Ghandruk, he stated, has 55 hotels and 22 homestays to welcome travelers.

Ghandruk's hotels and homestays can accommodate up to 2,000 guests each day.

Tourists have also increased in Sikles, a tourist village in Kaski's Madi rural municipality-1. With the end of Dasain and Tihar, approximately 500 to 600 tourists arrive in Sikles every day. The number of tourists has increased due to people traveling to Kapuche Ice Lake and Kori Danda via Sikles.
