Cycling team in Pokhara to promote tourism
POKHARA, Nov 20:The team of 'Cycle City Bhairahawa' arrived in the tourist city of Pokhara on Saturday with the slogan 'Community Homestay, Our Culture, and Tradition'.
Every year, the team comes to Pokhara to promote local products as well as domestic and cycle tourism by cycling on the day after Tihar's Bhaitika.
Soorya Kumar Saru Magar, president of Cycle City Bhairahawa, announced that a 14-member team has embarked on a bicycle journey from Rupandehi Siddharth Nagar to promote Pokhara as a tourism destination, particularly with Magar and Gurung Gharwas. He said that the team traveled by bicycle and reached Pokhara via the Bajkot homestay of the Magar caste in Walling and the Siruvari homestay of the Gurung caste in Syangja.
Dilliraj Pandey, a tourism entrepreneur, stated that the participating team's interest in promoting Nepal's tourism sector through cycling is very beneficial. Previously, the team bicycled to Supadeurali in Arghakhanchi, Rani Mahal in Palpa, and Manungkot in Byas Municipality.
