NAC's fourth tender for sale of Boeing

KATHMANDU, Nov 20:Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)invited bids for the sale of a Boeing 757 'Gandaki' for the fourth time. On Saturday, November 11th, the NAC invited tenders for the sale of planes.

The NAC has given interested parties until November 21st to participate in the tender for the acquisition of the plane. The tender specifies that the interested business must purchase the plane, spare parts, and engine. The plane's engine is being serviced by Spain's Iberia Maintenance Company.

Since June 2019, the plane has been grounded at Tribhuvan International Airport. This plane has flown 89,462 hours since it was built in 1988. Following the buying of Boeing, the NAC began flying to London, Paris, and Frankfurt.

Four years ago, the NAC struck an arrangement with CSDS Company of America for Boeing sales. A sale agreement was signed for Rs 65 crore. However, the process was halted because to covid.
