IME Group provided 15 million rupees to earthquake victims

KATHMANDU:The IME Group will offer 15 million rupees in financial assistance to earthquake victims in the Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim districts.

Global IME Bank, IGI Prudential Insurance, IME Life Insurance and IME Limited and other companies promoted by IME Group and through IME Foundation will support 15 million rupees for the earthquake victims.

The amount will be provided to the Prime Minister's Divine Disaster Relief Fund under Corporate Social Responsibility for rescue and relief distribution in the affected areas.

On Friday night, the devastating earthquake, which was centered in the Jajarkot district of Karnali province, caused a huge loss of life in Jajarkot, Rukum West, and surrounding districts.

In that area, IME Group and IME Foundation will also provide additional relief support in coordination with the local administration.

Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of IME Group, recalled that IME Group was mobilized for rescue and immediate relief distribution during the Great Earthquake and Epidemic, and said that this time too, they have mobilized for all possible assistance in rescue and relief.
