TSNA celebrated its fifth anniversary

KATHMANDU, Oct 01:Women in the tourism industry believe that sustainable and responsible tourism will only benefit the country's development.

They agreed during a discussion on the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the umbrella organization of women working in the tourism industry, 'Tourism Sisterhood Nepal Association' (TSNA), that there is a need for sustainable and responsible tourism in the country, and that doing so will help the country advance.

During the debate, Nandini Lahe Thapa, Senior Director of the Nepal tourist Board, stated that TSNA is making a big contribution to increasing the capacity of women working in the tourist business. She pushed women to enter the tourism business, stating that women's participation is minimal.

According to Anupa Budhathoki, President of TSNA, the organization, which began with nine women in 2018, has been working towards leadership development by empowering women in the tourist industry. TSNA now has over 50 female members.

Similarly, Jiswan Tuladhar Shrestha, past president of TSNA, stated that TSNA, which was founded five years ago, is today an amazing organization for women in the tourist business. He stated that the inclusion of second-generation women in TSNA has increased excitement.

Similarly, Astha Basnet, Executive Director of Buddha Air, Tripti Chhetri, Malaysia Airlines' Chief Commercial Officer for Nepal, Ashlesha Karki, Deputy Managing Director of Hotel Mechi Crown, and others believe that women must be empowered to progress forward.

Ramesh Thapa, president of the Nepal Association of Tours and Travel Agents (NATTA), former president CN Pandey, Junu Maleku, CEO of Cathay Pacific Airways in Nepal, and others took part in the discussion.
