Number of visitors to Nepal doubled

KATHMANDU, Sep 18:The number of visitors to Nepal has more than doubled.

According to the Nepal Rastra Bank's report on the country's present economic and financial status, tourism revenue has more than doubled.

Tourism income climbed by 62.6 percent in the first month of fiscal year 2023/024, reaching four billion 39 million rupees under the service account. Such income was two billion and 70 million rupees in the same period the previous year.

Similarly, travel expenses under the service account grew by 54% during the review year, reaching 17 billion 26 million rupees. Travel expenses totaled 11.21 billion in the same period the previous year.
