Manang rapidly developing into tourist destination

Manang rapidly developing into tourist destination

LUMJUNG, Sep 18:The number of Nepalis visiting the country is growing. As a result, tourism locations are sought, research is conducted, and local tourist regions are promoted.

The number of tourists visiting the Himalayan district, which is full of natural beauty, is growing. Locals say that the number of tourists visiting Manang is growing due to the abundance of natural shade.

Domestic tourists are also visiting the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Manang, which used to attract more foreign tourists in the past. Although the number of foreign tourists is collected, the number of domestic tourists is not recorded, according to that office.

Foreign visitors prefer to stroll, whilst domestic visitors arrive by vehicles. During the hike, foreign tourists appreciate the gorgeous scenery.

According to ACAP, Foreign visitors only use vehicles when they are sick. Binod Gurung, Chairman of the Manang Tourism Association, stated that few international tourists visit during the off-season.

"The season has begun," he remarked, "and the number of tourists has increased, as has the arrival of both foreign and domestic tourists."

He predicted that tourism will surge in mid-season. Manang, according to Gurung, is becoming a tourism "hub."

As Manang develops into a tourist destination, people are working on management to guarantee that visitors stay.

Yangdung Gurung, 79, of Manang Ngisyang Rural Municipality-1, Pisang, noted that, in addition to foreign tourists, more domestic tourists are visiting this year.

'Previously, there were only foreigners, but now Nepalese visitors come in huge numbers, and the 48 hotels in Pisang are filled during the season,' he said.

The number of tourists visiting here is increasing on a daily basis. Dhak Bahadur Bhujel, director of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), reported that tourists had begun to arrive in Manang on a daily basis.

According to him, over 70 tourists arrive here every day. "Slowly, the number of tourists coming here is increasing," he added, adding that "the hotels here are usually full."

Manang attracts visitors in both seasons. Aside from admiring the view of the mountains, the high mountains, the customs of the people of Manang, and the natural beauty, some tourists travel to the Annapurna trail from Manang to cross the Thorangla Bhanjyang and others to Pokhara by Mustang.

The hike begins in Manange Chautara, Besishahar Municipality-7 of Lamjung, at the Annapurna trekking route's entry. The Annapurna trail links five districts: Lamjung, Manang, Mustang, Myagdi, and Kaski.

Tourists go by vehicles from Kathmandu to Besisahar, and they begin their adventure by walking through Manang's major tourist attractions.
