Nabil Bank opens new branch at Namche in Solukhumbu

KATHMANDU:Nabil Bank Limited has opened its 265th branch in Namche, Solukhumbu District. According to Nabil Bank, the Namche branch has been expanded as part of the bank's objective to enhance banking access and branch locations in rural areas.

Nabil Bank Chairman Upendra Prasad Paudyal and former ward Chairman Tshering Fenzo Sherpa jointly inaugurated the branch in the presence of Nabil Bank Chief Executive Officer Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana.

Chairman Paudyal stated in the program that the goal of Nabil Bank is not only to increase Nabil's business in Namche, but also to work at the community level.

"Nabil Bank believes in working together with the community, and opening a branch in Namche is a happy moment for us," he said.

Former ward Chairman Sherpa stated his delight at the presence of Nabil Bank in the region. He stated that the bank's presence will be significant for financial access and economic acquisition activities at the local level.

According to Dhungana, CEO of Nabil Bank, the branch was established to provide convenient financial access to the Namche area as well as to expand excellent banking services.

"We will do our best to provide our customers with the best service possible in order to meet the economic needs of this region," Dhungana stated.

Ward member Nwang Sherpa, border administrative officer Sujan Kumari Bardeva, police inspector Kavin Rai, and other local politicians, as well as senior Nabil Bank executives, attended the opening event.

Nabil Bank is one of Nepal's leading commercial banks. The bank has 306 ATMs and 265 branches across the country. Nabil Bank has reached more than 1.8 million customers so far.
