CAAN slaps a fine of Rs 10,000 on Rameshwor Thapa
KATHMANDU, August 29: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 to Captain Rameshwar Thapa, the owner of Srimik Air for not following the authority's flight safety standards.
Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson Jaganath Niraula confirmed the action. "The action has been taken because the president of Simrik Air has not submitted the flight safety and the explanation asked by the authority," said spokesperson Niraula. Rameshwar Thapa is also the president of the Airline Operators Association of Nepal.
