'Hotel Mechi Crown' is expanding by 100 rooms
KATHMANDU, July 14:The five-star luxurious hotel 'Mechi Crown' in Jhapa will expand by 100 rooms. A hundred rooms will be added throughout the course of the next year.
According to Balram Sapkota, co-director of the hotel, the hotel structure is currently under construction to add 100 rooms at a cost of more than 500 million. "We are going to add 100 rooms because there aren't enough during the wedding and party season," Sapkota added.
The hotel currently offers 150 rooms. There are five suites, five villas, and 95 premium rooms to choose from. All of these rooms can hold up to 160 people at once.
This hotel, located 17 kilometers from Bhadrapur Airport in Jhapa and 25 kilometers from Bagdogra Airport in India, has been open since 2021.
Pavitra Kumar Karki, Sureshman Shrestha, Rajkumar Basnet, Ram Bahadur Gautam, and Balram Sapkota are tourism merchants who have invested one and a half billion rupees in the hotel.
The hotel's earnings have improved in the short period it has been open. The hotel earned Rs 3 crore 18 lakh in its first year of business in 2021. Similarly, the hotel's income grew to 187.1 million rupees in 2022. The hotel's income has climbed by 488 percent since 2021.
The hotel Mechi Crown has a total of 144 ropani . Green gardens have been planted on 70% of the area. The hotel's main building has four floors. There are nine blocks in all. In various structures, there are five villas, a main hotel, a conference hall, a spa, a casino, and other amenities. The facilities are given in accordance with the package.
Staying in a deluxe room at Mechi Crown costs 10,000 rupees per day. It can sleep up to two persons. A villa room costs Rs. 18000 per day. Similarly, the suit cost 50 thousand rupees. Breakfast is included in the cost.
There are three restaurants where you can eat. There is also a swimming pool, a gym, a spa, and a parlor. The hotel has a helicopter landing helipad. Banquets and three seminar halls with a combined capacity of 3,000 people are available.
For weddings and events, there is a hall that can hold roughly 2,000 people. There is plenty of parking for visitors' vehicles.
Previously, residents had to travel to India for a big wedding feast. We have now supplied that service. Instead, Bharatis come here to party,' Sapkota explained. 'We have a hall that can house up to four wedding celebrations at the same time.'
As Nepalese spending power grows, the hotel has created infrastructure to accommodate weddings, ceremonies, and programs of domestic and foreign organizations.
