Chinese language training for Nepal tourist police
KATHMANDU, June 15:Chinese language training has been given to police officers working in the tourism sector of Nepal Police.
In collaboration with the tourist police, Immersion Mandarin Academy (IMA) and the East China University of Technology., the tourist police was given two months of Chinese language training.
Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Suresh Adhikari, while distributing certificates to the tourist police who participated in the training, said that it would be easier for the tourist police to communicate with Chinese tourists and solve their problems. He says that it is necessary to train the tourist police in other languages as well.
Additionally, Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, the ambassador of Nepal to China, stated that since Nepal and China are neighbors, it will be simple to connect with each other in any language.
The training would motivate the tourist police to work more, according to Councilor of the Chinese Embassy Wangchhin, Hom Prasad Luitel, Director General, Department of Tourism, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sugandh Shrestha, and others.
Certificates were awarded to Tourist Police Laxman Raut, Kumar Bahadur Khadka, Sunita Nepal, Shubraj Mahatara and Sunil Shrestha who participated in the language training program.
Pramila Tamang, director of the academy, said that the Immersion Mandarin Academy has created a separate curriculum for the tourist police language training room that has been operating for two months.
