Pashupati area master plan to be implemented

KATHMANDU, May 30:The government intends to carry out the master plan for the Pashupati region, which is a center of faith for Vedic Sanatan Hindus all over the world and is placed on the World Heritage List.

Religious and cultural sites would be developed as religious tourist destinations, according to the budget statement for the fiscal year 2080/2081 delivered by Finance Minister Dr. Prakasharan Mahat in the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament.

The budget declaration also mentions that tourism will be fostered by safeguarding and developing cultural treasures. In addition to preserving more than 100-year-old monasteries, the earthquake-damaged monasteries of Nuwakot, Sindhupalchok, Makwanpur, Dhading, and other districts will be rebuilt.
