Government to be split CAAN into two bodies

KATHMANDU, May 29:The government is going to separate  to split the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) into two autonomous bodies regulatory body and air navigation service provider.

The government made this announcement in the budget for the fiscal year 2080/81 (2023/24).

Although the government has announced this for a long time, it has been unable to implement it because to employee opposition.

The decision to separate in this manner reached the National Assembly during the previous parliament's term, but the process was halted.
