Technical team departing for India to discuss air routes

A technical team has left for India for bilateral talks to find new air entry points and solutions to cross-border flight problems.

Buddhisagar Lamichhane, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation and Head of the Aviation Industry Division, led a technical delegation to the Civil Aviation Authority of India.

Tourism Secretary Suresh Adhikari stated that the team's difficulties, particularly the air entrance point and the cross-border flight, are the top priority.

Before the visit, a technical team was formed to discuss how to solve the problem of cross-border flights. The same group proceeded to meet with the Indian side.

Buddhisagar Lamichhane, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, led the technical team on Nepal's behalf.


Engineer Pradeep Adhikari, the authority's director general, is also on the team. 

According to him, the new air entry point and ALS flying and landing procedures at Gautam Buddha International Airport would be discussed as a key priority, with Indian consent.
