Maulakali cable car officially operation
KATHMANDU, May 01: The Maulakali Cable Car has officially begun operations. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal formally inaugurated the Cablecar operation at Maulakali Cable car bottom station in Gaidakot-1 on Monday.
In his remarks during the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Dahal stated that the government is dedicated to assisting the private sector, emphasizing the importance of tourism infrastructure such as Moulakali in stimulating the lethargic economy.
According to Prime Minister Dahal, the private sector plays a significant role in economic growth and employment creation. Prime Minister Dahal stated that Tanahun, Nawalpur, and Chitwan districts are becoming tourism hotspots and that this area would be promoted as a source of economic development. Similarly, Gandaki state chief Prithviman Gurung voiced his confidence that the Maulakali cable car will aid in the region's economic and social growth.
At the opening ceremony, Chairman of Maulakali Cable Car, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, requested that the construction of tourism infrastructure be expedited and that an environment be created in which development work would be completed on time to help the country's sluggish economy.
Dhakal, who is also the Chairman of the Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry, stated that the Maulakali Cable Car has demonstrated that the private sector can perform within the required time, budget, and quality.
Chairman Dhakal stated that if more tourism infrastructure and development projects are constructed at the same rate as the Maulakali cable car, the economy's laxity would be reduced.
Chairman Dhakal further stated that the development of at least one such tourism infrastructure has been hastened in all provinces of the nation, and that the Lumbini cable car under construction in Butwal will be operational within a few weeks.
Chairman Dhakal stated that the confluence area of Chitwan, Tanhun, and Nawalpur is a sacred land of religious and cultural value in Nepal, referring to the importance of the location, which contains tourism infrastructure like the Maulakali Cable Car.
The Maulakalika temple has a history of four and a half centuries. Devghat, visible on the right side of this temple, is a sacred site in Vedic Sanatan Dharma. President Dhakal further stated that he thought that the new tourism constructions, like as cable cars, will assist to restore the ancient dignity and majesty of properties such as Narayani, Devghat, and Triveni to all Nepalis.
Chairman Dhakal further stated his commitment to continuing the effort of creating national prosperity by enhancing the living conditions of local inhabitants through tourist development. Chairman Dhakal stated that structures of local cultural significance are the common property of the nation and the people, and that the tourist structure, including the Maulakali cable car, built as a jewel of Nawalpur, has been shifted to the model of developing local people's own property, with the maximum participation of the local community.
The cable car is approximately 1,200 meters long and has 14 gondola. You may reach the top station near the temple in 5 minutes by boarding a cable car from the lowest station.
The hotel, which is being built alongside the upper station, will include 60 rooms, a convention space, a swimming pool, and a restaurant. The project will cost around 2 billion rupees.
