National Life Insurance's new bonus rate

KATHMANDU:The new bonus rate has been determined by the National Life Insurance Company. The company announced the new bonus rate following the Insurance Authority's approval of the actuarial report for fiscal year 2078/79.

The company has set the bonus rate in various insurance schemes at Rs 63 to Rs 85 per thousand. In the term life insurance plan, the premium is fixed at 64 rupees per thousand for a period of 9 years.

The bonus rate is Rs 64 for those aged 10 to 14 and 15 to 20 years, Rs 70 for those aged 21 to 25, Rs 85 for those aged 26 to 29, and Rs 85 for those aged 30 and above.

Similarly, a bonus of 64 rupees will be paid for a term of 9 to 20 years under term and whole life insurance. It is Rs 70 for those aged 21 to 25, Rs 85 for those aged 26 to 29, and Rs 85 for those aged 30 and above.

A term life insurance plan with an advance payment bonus rate of Rs 63 for 9 years, Rs 63 for 10 to 14 years, Rs 64 for 15 to 19 years, Rs 64 for 20 to 25 years, and Rs 64 for more than 26 to 30 years is specified.

According to the company, the bonus rate will be maintained as an interim bonus rate even in claims paid until the next evaluation report is approved by the insurance authority.
