Economy will improve if government and central bank change some policies: FNCCI Senior VP Dhakal

KATHMANDU, April 02:Chandra Prasad Dhakal, senior vice-president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), said that the economy will improve if the government and the central bank change some policies.

Senior Vice President Dhakal stated this during the Handover-Takeover & Farewell Ceremony of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Madhesh Province.

He stated that we are currently in a state of extreme crisis. Some of our government policies, as well as local and global events, have contributed to the economic crisis.

However, the number of remittances and visitors has recently increased. At this point, if the government and the central bank change their policies, the crisis will be alleviated.

Dhakal stated that now is not the time to accuse each other, but rather to work together to overcome the crisis.

Senior Vice President Dhakal stated that a shift in perspective toward the private sector is required.

He stated that there have been some recent changes.

It is wrong to think of the main force that drives the economy, creating jobs, as profiteers.

Dhakal stated during a program attended by the Chief Minister and Ministers of Madhesh Province that the FNCCI is ready to collaborate with the provincial government.

He stated that all three senior vice president candidates are qualified and capable, and he urged all provinces to understand the message of consensus.

He proposed that instead of three years, it be reduced to two.

You can all lead, but in this case, two capable people are bound to leave.

Senior Vice President Dhakal stated that every FNCCI meeting will be held in a different province as much as possible during his tenure.
