Siddharth Street Food Festival to be held on April 13th
BHAIRAHAWA:The Siddharth Street Food Festival will be held in Bhairahawa on the eve of the Nepali New Year. The festival, organized by the hotel and restaurant business association, will take place on April 13th at Devkota Chowk in Bhairahawa.
The program's goal is to invite Indian tourists to the one-day event and encourage them to promote Nepal and the border region of Bhairahawa after Covid-19.
Furthermore, Pitambar Neupane, the organization's president, stated that the program will help to celebrate the Bhairahawa New Year with pomp and show by ending the practice of going elsewhere to celebrate the local New Year in this region.
This festival will feature 100 stalls, including eight from hotels, 40 from restaurants, and various stalls serving Tharu, Newari, and Magar dishes. According to the organization's Secretary General, Rajesh Mohotra, the program will include local cultural arts, local school dances, performances by local artists, as well as national artists and DJs.
The festival will be attended by locals living in rural villages around Bhairahawa as well as spectators from the neighboring country of India.
Organizers believe that this program will make the tourism business of Bhairahawa, which has been affected by Covid-19, operational and will give a little relief to the financial liquidity that has appeared in the world economy.
