Machhapuchhre Bank and  Petroleum Dealers Association have reached an agreement on digital payments

KATHMANDU:Machhapuchhre Bank has signed an agreement to provide digital payment services with the Nepal Petroleum Dealers National Association.

On Monday, the two parties agreed to provide digital payment services and awareness programs. The agreement was signed by Nepal Petroleum Dealers National Association President Lilendra Prasad Pradhan and Machhapuchhre Bank Chief Executive Officer Santosh Koirala.

According to the agreement, petrol pumps affiliated with the Nepal Petroleum Dealers National Association will be able to accept payment for the purchase of oil sold to customers using PIS, QR, and other digital payment tools via the digital platform in a simple and reliable manner.

According to the agreement, the bank will now conduct digital awareness programs at petrol pumps and among Petroleum Dealers National Association members at various stages.

With Machhapuchhre Bank providing digital services, it is expected that the hassles of retail money transactions, counterfeit note control, and cash management will be alleviated at petrol pumps, where a significant amount of cash is transacted on a daily basis.
