Aviation Museum comes into operation in Mahendranagar

KANCHANPUR, March 20: An 'Aviation Museum' has opened in Kanchanpur's Mahendranagar. The  Aviation Museum has come into operation with an investment of Rs 15 million with the aim of supporting tourism development.

Captain Bed Upreti stated that the museum has opened as a new tourist destination and that photographs of the major tourist attractions in the Far West will be kept in the museum. Due to a lack of land, the museum, which first opened in Dhangadhi nine years ago, was relocated to Mahendranagar.

"An aviation museum was built by bringing Cosmic Air's Fokker 100 jets," he explained, "and 100 people can view it at the same time and get information about the cockpit and flight of the aircraft."

In Mahendranagar, the 'Captain Upreti Trust' has built a helicopter, a Siddha Baba statue, a swimming pool, and an aircraft museum. He expressed hope that the museum will help to establish the Far Western region as a desirable tourist destination. He also mentioned that the recorded dialogue between the pilot and the tower can be heard in the museum's cockpit. The museum admission fee is Rs 100 per person and Rs 50 for students.
