Tourism is returning to normal : Minister Kirati

KATHMANDU,March 15: Sudan Kirati, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, stated that the tourism industry is gradually returning to normal.

He made the remarks while speaking at a regional workshop seminar hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation and the United Nations World Tourism Organization on Wednesday in Kathmandu.

He stated that the industry must be developed, expanded, and diversified in order to promote the tourism industry, which has begun to return to normalcy. He stated that there is a need to seek out new destinations, increase investment, develop integrated tourism infrastructure and technology, and distribute tourism industry benefits to rural areas.

Minister Kirati also stated that the development of tourism will create jobs by increasing economic activity. This, he claims, will aid in poverty alleviation, regional development, and economic growth. He stated that accurate information and data are required in tourism, and that plans or programs developed in the absence of accurate data will be impractical.
