Pokhara-Jomsom flights resume

POKHARA, March 15: The regular flight between Pokhara and Jomsom has begun with the end of the winter season. Summit Air and Tara Air have nine daily flights from the old airport, according to Jashoda Subedi, Chief of Airport.

Summit Air  resumed regular flights last week. Tara Air has also planned flights to this destination," Chief Subedi said.

Summit and Tara, he claims, have been flying four times per day. She said me that both flights were extremely full. Tara and Summit have been keeping one night stop each plane for this, she said.

She stated that helicopter, ultralight, and other flights, in addition to fixed wing, are currently being operated from the old airport.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal  has operated flights to hilly destinations from the old airport since the international airport opened on January 1. VFR flights originate at the old airport, whereas IFR flights are required at the new airport.
