Tourism basis of Nepal's economic development: State Minister Sirpali

KATHMANDU, March 07: Sushila Sirpali Thakuri, Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, has said that tourism is the mainstay of Nepal's economic development.

'It is not normal that Nepal has eight of the world's twelve highest mountains,' said Minister of State Sirpali at  Ministry event. Nepal's tourism industry is built on mountains, natural scenery, and valuable herbs.

In that program, 12 working papers on the development of the Arghakhanchi district were presented.

Experts from various fields presented working papers on the current state of tourism development in Nepal, including the Arghakhanchi and Lumbini provinces, the foundation of tourism development, and so on.
