Kandara Resort is under construction in Dhankuta
KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Kandara Resort is going to come into operation at Jorpati in Dhankuta at a cost of 30 million.
The under-construction resort located at Madhya Pahadi Lokmarga of Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality-2 is going to be put into operation by a local young businessman, Baldiv Rai. Owner Rai informed that the construction of the resort started last year on an area of about 27 ropani and will be operational within two years.
Rai said that the resort, which is being built with 2 million rupees from Century Bank, 4.5 million rupees from National Commercial Bank and the remaining private investment, is going to be put into operation targeting the domestic tourists of Province No. 1. "Gasbas will be provided to tourists going to Tinjure, Jalajle region from Terai", he said.
The resort, which has the capacity to serve 300 guests, will serve organic food including vegetables, rice, fish and local chicken. The resort is about to come into operation with an annual turnover of 5 million rupees.
Tourists coming here from this place, which is 1,900 meters above sea level, can enjoy the panoramic view of the mountain range and the Kanchanjunga glacier.
