Buddha air returns without landing at Simara airport

 

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Buddha Air flight from Kathmandu to Simara has returned to Kathmandu without landing at Simara.

According to Tribhuvan Airport office sources, Buddha's ATR plane that left for Simara at 4 pm could not land at Simara.

"The pilot decided to bring the plane back to Kathmandu without landing at Simara after seeing that there was a problem with the 'indicator',". "The plane landed in Kathmandu without declaring an emergency."

The airport said that after the flight number BHA 555 of Buddha landed in Kathmandu, preparations are being made to send the passengers to Simara by another plane. 70 passengers were on board.

According to Simara Airport Chief Surya Bahadur Khatri, the aircraft contacted the tower of Simara and informed them that it had returned to Kathmandu saying that there was a problem with the indicator.
