KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Nepal's first Manakamana cable car has entered 25 years. Manakamana cable car was put into operation for the first time in Nepal from 24th of November 1998 in Gorkha.

The cable car operator claims that Manakamana and surrounding areas are known as major tourist destinations due to the regular operation of the cable car.

On the occasion of the anniversary, the group's sister company Resorts by Manakamana Cable Car Pvt Ltd has started the construction of a 40-room hotel and resort in Manakamana. The cost of the resort is estimated to be around 480 million.
